Thus active participation is critical to this course. Registered students should click on a View This Class Session link to see that class meeting's content and related assignments. Use the Syllabus and, if registered, Course Calendar and Classmates links above to view course events and due dates, and a roster of other students in this course.
D3M & Technology Leadership
We begin with an introduction to data-driven decision making (D3M): what it is, and what it is not and then illustrate the connections between technology leadership and D3M. We also introduce the course's instructor, students and goals, as well as the Education Technology Leaders online learning environment.
Assessment-Centered Learning Environments

Resources for Data-driven Instructional Leadership
This class session focuses on resources that can aid putting into place using data to guide instructional leadership. We apply this to teachers' instructional decision making in the classroom and administrator's decisions at the school and division levels as well as to the local tools available to support this.
Conditions for Data-driven Instructional Leadership
This class session focuses on the conditions in the classroom, school, and division levels that support data-driven instructional leadership. We apply this to the evaluation of a school's conditions to support data-driven instructional leadership. This class session also wraps up the entire course by asking participants to synthesize their course work into a cohesive set of support materials.
